I am Engr. Jeremy Rea T. Escalona, a licensed Civil Engineer currently working as a remote Estimator for an Australian company. My work mainly involves using Bluebeam and the EstimateOne platform to search for tenders, perform quantity takeoffs, and prepare estimates using Google Sheets. Through this experience, I became familiar with Australian standards, construction materials, and various types of construction plans.
Locally, I also gained experience in monitoring ongoing construction projects, preparing shop drawings using AutoCAD, creating BOQs using Excel, handling project documents, and attending and preparing minutes of meetings.
For several years, I focused on my family and volunteer work as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. During that time, I volunteered as a Civil/Structural Drafter for Local Design Construction using JWCAD, a software similar to AutoCAD, mainly for renovation projects of Kingdom Halls. I served in this role for around four years before returning to secular work as a remote Estimator to help support our family financially.
I am someone who values organization and attention to detail, and I believe these qualities became even stronger after becoming a mother. I also value honesty, responsibility, and integrity because I take Bible principles seriously in both my personal life and work.
I also hope to work with a respectful and supportive employer — someone I can comfortably ask questions to, trust, and who values their employees.
