Ever since I was a primary school, I was into writing. I'd write essays or articles for our school publication. When I was in high school, I d----------- to join public speaking and debates. In college, since I took up Bachelor of Arts in English, I was further exposed to both writing and speaking.
But my work experience with the call center industry since 2007 until 2010 polished my verbal and written communication skills. Furthermore, I developed my soft skills and it has greatly helped me relate and interact with people effectively. Working for a financial services company as a Collections Associate (Credit Cards) has helped me develop my negotiation and multitasking skills. Still, I do not want to limit my skills to what I already know. Instead, I want to keep learning new skills and develop them, so I chose to upscale my Customer Service skills by exposing myself to other platforms like inbound, outbound, non-voice channels like chat and email, because I wanted to be a universal employee that wherever you d----------- to put me, I can perform my job seamlessly.
Until now I keep searching for more, and so I d----------- to do customer service on a face-to-face setup. From 2014 until now, I work with one of the best banks in the Philippines, currently assigned as a Client Relations Officer cum Marketing Officer in Retail banking. I really love this job. However, times have changed and virtual jobs have started to grow very in demand nowadays.
