As a Senior Quality Analyst in MetroBank, I was assigned to:
• Lead the Testing
Making sure that test cases are executed on or before the test timeline ends with 100% execution rate
Send daily project status report, with 100?curacy, for the team to be aware of the testing status
Be a contact person of the development team
Track defects starting from detection, reporting, replication, fixing, deployment, retesting and closing the defect
• Test Estimation
Estimate the time needed to test all the supposed created test cases until a 100% execution rate
Estimate the time needed to prepare test data needed for test execution
• Test Planning
Create test case strategically, making sure that 100% of scenarios are covered; Positive and Negative scenarios
Also create test cases testing the field level of validation, making sure that field validation works as intended from test environment into the production
• Test Data Preparation
Preparing test data needed to accommodate all test cases created
• Testing
In general, I make sure that all created test cases, whether it is a scenario based or a field validation, are in 100% execution rate, either it passes or fails
Test a scenario depending on requirement, it could be an API testing or Functional UI testing
Testing could be cross device or cross platform testing, using a different tool required for the ----------- could be an internal tools or external tool to perform the testing; POSTMAN, Browserstack and multiple browsers
• Issue/Bug Reporting
Make sure that the encountered bug or issue have enough information when reported, for the development team to understand and replicate easily.
• Issue/Bug Retesting
Once fix was deployed in test environment and changes was handed over to the testing team, my job is to make sure that all bug fixes are tested, either the fix passes or ----------- case the fix fails, I make sure to bounce bank the issue to the development team.
