· Create designs and technical drawings for commercial and residential heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems.
· Prepares cooling and heating load calculations needed for the mechanical design.
· Prepares specification sheets of HVAC and Kitchen ventilation equipment per compliance.
· Design energy models for the city’s compliance code.
· Familiar with Codes and Standards such as California Mechanical Code, California Energy Code, ASHRAE, SMACNA
· Provides responses for RFIs (requests for information) of contractors, owners, and clients.
· Develop mechanical as-builts, mark-ups, and initial layouts.
· Uses independent judgment to apply, maintain, and enforce current AutoCAD standards
· Provide support and mentoring for junior engineering staff members.
