Projects rarely arrive as neat, perfectly defined plans. More often, they begin with a business goal, a long list of ideas, and a client who knows what they want to achieve but is not always sure how to describe it in technical terms.
That is where I do my best work.
I am a project manager specialising in IT and website development. I bring structure to complex projects while keeping communication clear, practical, and human. I help clients and delivery teams move from a broad idea to a shared understanding of what needs to be built, why it matters, and how we will get there.
One project that reflects my approach was the development of a website with more than 40 pages and a membership portal. The challenge was not simply the size of the website; the requirements were unclear, and the client was not from a technical background. Rather than pushing ahead with assumptions, I brought the project back to the business need. I regrouped with the client to understand their objectives beyond building the website, clarified what success looked like, and worked with them to establish a clear and realistic scope.
Once the direction was clearer, I adjusted the timeline to reflect the actual work involved and made sure the client understood the decisions, priorities, and trade-offs along the way. This created a more transparent delivery process and helped the client feel confident and informed, rather than overwhelmed by technical language or uncertainty.
That experience reinforced what I value about project management: the role is not just about managing tasks, deadlines, and meetings. It is about listening carefully, asking the questions that uncover the real problem, and creating enough clarity for everyone to make good decisions.
People I work with describe me as responsive, reliable, and diligent. I take ownership of keeping the project moving, communicating early when something changes, and following through on the details that can make the difference between a project that feels difficult and one that feels well managed.
