I am Christian James Gequinto, 30 years old, from the Philippines. I am a graduate of information technology with an associate degree. I graduated from STI College Dumaguete in the school year 2013–2014. After I graduated, I immediately got a chance to work as a technical support representative for a telecommunications company, handling a wide variety of concerns over the phone. The concerns I handled consisted of technical concerns, troubleshooting, inquiries, complaints about products and services, disputes and refunds, and many more. I worked as a TSR for 8 years at that company, and as I was working, I heard a lot about virtual assistant roles and online jobs. Due to my curiosity and also my eagerness for new knowledge and growth, I tried looking into the role, and that introduced me to the e-commerce industry. I connected with a few clients as a virtual assistant while working in technical support, but my most notable experience as a virtual assistant was with a company named Humble Ambition. I have learned new knowledge and tools such as Google Excel, product listing, and selling products across many platforms. It was a dropshipping store that sold its products to Walmart and sourced them from eBay. They also have a different store that sources its products from Amazon and sells them to Kroger. My task there was to process orders most of the time and reply to emails because I have a customer service background. On top of that, I was also tasked with different work from time to time, such as uploading products, tracking orders, and a little bit of product listing. I learned plenty of things from that role and decided that it was time to try being a VA full-time. I saw a job posting looking for a VA customer service agent on Facebook, and the company is Talentpop. With my experience from my part-time job, I landed a role as a customer service agent and was assigned to an e-commerce store. My role as a customer service agent was to answer live chats and emails using Gorgias. Concerns ranged from inquiries, subscriptions, order status, complaints, and many more. I was a customer service agent for Talentpop until January 2024. My three best qualities are my adaptability to new tasks and my ability to self-learn due to my previous experience, where there were times when new platforms, tools, and processes were implemented and we needed to cope with them. The other qualities that I have are that I am detail-oriented and that I have massive experience from previous endeavors. I used a lot of tools, but the most likely tools that will be useful for me will be Google Excel, Word, Gorgias, Slack, Outlook, Shopify, Microsoft Office, and a little bit of Canva.
