My background includes 4 years of rigorous experience as a hospital resident doctor on duty, running emergency triage and acute care, alongside 9 months of specialized experience in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) optimization, Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI), and PhilHealth claims management.
In my current role, I was tasked to be the Quality Assurance officer who audits and resolves critical documentation bottlenecks. I directly managed the hospital's iHOMIS Plus (Integrated Hospital Operations and Management Information System) workflow, systematically identifying why claims were flagged as RTH (Return to Hospital) or outright Denied. By auditing the disconnect between handwritten bedside charts and electronic medical records, and strictly enforcing PhilHealth’s rigid 24/48-hour documentation windows, I built a deep expertise in Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI) that directly prevents financial leakages.
