Hey! My name's Edan. I design and estimate low voltage and security systems for Calidad Services. Access control, video surveillance, intrusion, structured cabling, remote guarding, mobile surveillance units, and the network side that ties it all together. My focus is simple: the people inside those buildings deserve to feel safe, and that only happens when the system is designed right.
Most of my day is reading plans, writing scope, pricing jobs, and making sure the install team gets handed something they can actually build. Schools, commercial, healthcare, prevailing wage. Before Calidad I ran 70+ deployments at Jamtek, designed high-voltage substations in the Philippines, and managed a portfolio where I closed 35% of my bids.
I'm a big fan of AI and use it every day. But AI is only as good as the person driving it. In security systems this matters more than most fields. You need to know what a proper riser looks like, what a panel can and can't do, what a manufacturer's spec actually means, whether the zone count on the drawing adds up to the hardware you're quoting. AI speeds me up on the parts I already know how to do. It doesn't replace knowing how to do them.
