Principal Duties and Responsibilities:1. Continues to learn and remains current on departmental design guides, standard, systems, applicable engineering codes and Black & Veatch policies and procedures2. Applies to assigned tasks as appropriate3. Continues developing knowledge and complies with Black & Veatch quality program relatives to assigned tasks4. Support continuous improvement and change management efforts5. Prepares and verifies less complex engineering deliverables6. Performs research and develops recommendations for equipment and/or materials selection7. Collects, assimilates, and manages data for engineering work8. Prepares engineering calculations following standard methods and principles9. Understands and adheres to budget, schedule, and quality requirements10. Seeks out supervisor or project leadership to share information and gain guidance with respect to details of design and interdisciplinary coordination11. Coordinates with others as assigned by supervisor or project leadership12. Focuses on the needs of internal clients (project team leadership) while attempting to gain basic understanding of external client's main interests and drivers13. May provide support to business development or pursuit activities14. Shares current knowledge of latest technology and processes
