I have been in the Human Resources Industry for about 8 years now. I started off as an HR Assistant with time-keeping as one of my major ----------- just a short period of time, I have been left with the responsibility of handling the Human Resources Affairs together with a newbie HR Practitioner as well when our HR Manager d----------- to leave the company in order to start his own. Though struggling and trying to get a grasp of our new obligations, my new Head and I still kept going and managed to run the office on our own. We attended trainings and seminars to enhance our skills and knowledge of the matters pertaining our job.
My duties included maintaining the Human Resource Information System by filing employees' 201 file and recording their details in our database system. I also took part in the recruitment and hiring process by calling and informing applicants for their interview schedules, administering examinations, endorsing qualified applicants to the top management for their final interview, conducting orientation and facilitating the onboarding process of the new hires. I also assisted the Compensation and Benefits Team in processing the employees' pay by time-keeping, leave record encoding and by aiding employees with their needed requirements for opening a payroll bank account. Later on, the sole assignment of payroll processing has been turned over to me when the In-Charge resigned from her position.
Moreover, I was in charge in supporting the HR Head in dealing with the Employee Relations matter. I monitored and provided attendance violators' list, served as the receiving personnel of i----------- reports to be submitted to the HR Head for due processing of a disciplinary action course and assumed the function of a minute taker during meetings, employee development sessions and management council sessions. I also co-facilitated personality and professional development seminars, leadership trainings and customer service workshops. Furthermore, I also took actions in the Health and Safety Section by lending a hand to our Company Nurse every time there is someone needed immediate medical attention such as wound dressing, eye contamination and etc. I also provided employees with medicines each time they needed one in the absence of the company nurse.
