As an experienced primary school teacher, I have held positions in private and public institutions, each with unique roles and responsibilities. During my time at St. Vincent School from April 2008 to June 2010, I served as a MAPEH teacher, tasked with providing a holistic education experience for my students. This involved not only planning and delivering effective lesson plans, but also conducting assessments, managing the classroom, providing mentorship, and pursuing continuous professional growth. Currently, I am a faculty member at Librada Avelino Elementary School under the Department of Education, Manila. As a MAPEH (Music, Arts, Physical Education, and Health) teacher in a private school, it is important for me to uphold various roles and responsibilities to ensure the success of my students. Some of these responsibilities are as follows:
o Planning and delivering lesson plans: One of my main duties as a MAPEH teacher is to plan and deliver effective lesson plans that cater to the learning needs of my students. This includes preparing material, resources, and activities that help students explore the various aspects of MAPEH.
o Conducting assessments: I am responsible for assessing the progress of my students and providing regular feedback to them and their parents. I organize and supervise activities that enable me to evaluate their skills and knowledge in different subjects.
o Classroom management: As a teacher, I am responsible for maintaining discipline and order in the classroom. This involves enforcing rules and creating an environment conducive to learning.
o Providing mentorship: Another important role is providing guidance and mentorship to students. This includes creating a safe and encouraging environment that allows students to ask questions and express themselves freely without fear of being judged.
