I’m Ruth, a Healthcare Virtual Assistant with experience supporting a US-based dermatology clinic. My main responsibilities includes insurance verification, checking patient eligibility and benefits, updating insurance information, and maintaining accurate patient records using EZDERM.
I also have experience assisting with prior authorizations, from gathering the necessary information and submitting requests to following up on their status. Before working as a Healthcare VA, I worked as a Registered Psychometrician, administering psychological assessments and screening forms under the supervision of a psychologist. I also run a small cookie business on the side, where I handle customer inquiries and orders, manage Facebook and Instagra-----------ssages through Meta Business Suite, create promotional materials using Canva, and run social media ads. This experience has strengthened my customer service, communication, and ability to manage tasks independently.
