Transitioning from working in the BPO industry to Virtual Assistance industry, I have over 6 years of experience as a Customer Service Representative in Telecommunications, Healthcare, Retail and Hospitality sectors. 2 years of that I've worked as a Support to Providers and Members for Healthcare insurance companies such as Medicare, Medicare Supplement, Medicaid and Affordable Care Act or Obamacare with tasks such as eligibility and benefits verification, prior authorization, claim status verification, accounts receivable, reinstatement and providing detailed dollar amounts regarding copay, coinsurance, deductible and maximum out of pocket limit. With similar tasks, I've also worked as a seasonal Insurance Coordinator for a Home Health Service company based in California for 6 months. In my most recent job, is where I gained more experience and acquired more skills as a Medical Virtual Assistant where I got 2 roles as an Authorizations Coordinator and Reports Coordinator at the same time for a clinic that specializes in Traumatic Brain Injury for Worker's Compensation cases, also based in California.
