A Certified Public Accountant with 7 years of work experience, from the audit of local and international banks to leading both the Financial Planning & Analysis and Treasury departments of a multinational -----------mitted to driving growth and making a positive impact in whatever capacity a role could hold.
I am currently the Lead of the Financial Planning & Analysis team of Delivery Hero Philippines, Inc (operating as "foodpanda") and spearheads the Company's full bottoms-up budget cycle that encompasses EBITDA, CAPEX, Cash Flow and Manpower planning. I evaluate the Company's monthly financial performance to achieve its targets, and lead local/regional management reporting of PH market for monthly variance analysis. I also provide direction across all departments, setting the monthly and quarterly targets and recommending courses of action to achieve and/or exceed Company targets. I have been entrusted and have led the establishment of the Company's FPA team last 2019, driving 28x business growth since then. I have also managed RPA and connected planning projects to create efficiencies.
I also currently lead foodpanda's Treasury department with main focus on cash monitoring and short-term cash flow projections to ensure liquidity for daily operations. I also plan the funds flow of new entities to ensure compliance over regulatory requirements (i.e. legal requirements over source and amount of required capital funding, transfer pricing, intercompany charge and taxes, as applicable). I ensure due process in bank accounts management, including in the opening, reviewing, updating, and termination of accounts.
Prior to managing teams, I did reviews of the accuracy and completeness of the Company's books, including journal entries, ledgers, sub-ledgers, account balances and other financial reportorial items. I have created management reports for monthly variance analysis for deviations ranging +/- 5% vs targets.
I have also been an auditor in PwC Isla Lipana & Co. for over three years, and has performed tests of controls and substantive tests over financial statement accounts. I was engaged in walk-throughs with various business units to understand operations and to identify and evaluate controls that reduce the risk of material misstatement of financial results (business units worked on include securities services, global trade and receivable financing, trust and managed funds services, local and cross-border payments, and retail banking). The main industries that I handled were under financial services industry (e.g. banks, financial institutions, etc), manufacturing industry, and electronic and precision equipment repair and maintenance industries.
