Before I entered being a Virtual Assistant, I worked for a retail company on-site for almost 5 years as an inventory control staff. I experience a lot of struggles like handling their system. I had no proper training in doing that stuff, so to do my assigned job, I self-studied the flow of it and mastered its function. I do reconciliation of data, do lots of inventory reports, and also data analysis, aging, and inventory valuation that are to be declared on the Financial Statement every end of the year, to close their book. Because of that, I learned more things, and I consider myself a hardworking employee. I am dedicated and striving for more knowledge for my growth as an individual and for the company as well. I can handle multiple tasks at the same time. I am good at analyzing data. Excel or Spreadsheet is my forte.
So when a Virtual Assistant offered to me, at first I was hesitant. I had a permanent job, but I risked my job on this and grabbed another opportunity to add my skills and challenge myself for my career growth. I applied all my knowledge from my previous job and gathered other skills from that job, like how to use QuickBooks Online, and how it works. On my VA journey, I also do a lot of jobs like reconciliation, data entry like invoice billings, and Profit and Loss Analysis. But my daily task is all about the client's inventory. I monitor their flow like customer purchases and transfer of materials from warehouse to agents truck. I also enter monthly truck cycle counts to ensure that their system is accurate. I also assist them with some of their clerical work, like generating reports on the system so that they can access it easily when they need it. Overall, I gained more knowledge and I hope I can use it on my virtual assistant journey.
