I have been a software developer for about 5 years now. My first company was Cafe24. I worked there for almost 4 years. Cafe24 is an E-commerce platform.
I was an L1 for the first two years of my career in Cafe24, where I learned to adapt and use new technologies as the project needed. I’ve mostly developed internal apps using Vue/Nuxtjs for the front end and Nodejs, Golang, and Python for the back end.
I also have a lot of experience using different databases like MySQL and Postgres for relational databases and MongoDB, Elasticsearch, and CouchbaseDB for NoSQL database
Then eventually I got promoted to L2 where I had to adapt and learn new technologies like PHP/Laravel for the back end and React for the front end. Also from developing internal apps when I was an L1, we moved to developing external apps for the E-commerce platform. We handled 4 projects in total where 2 of them, I was responsible for creating the development plan, technical analysis, designing the database, and leading my team for the development.
I am very proud of those 2 because those two were the top priority projects for the Philippines branch. It is a collaboration with TikTok and YouTube where we created a channel to enable the merchants to connect and upload their products from Cafe24 to TikTok and YouTube.
We had such success that we were featured in the company’s newsletter.
But unfortunately, they d----------- to close the Philippines branch.
In my second job, I was a backend developer for Collabera, our client was Union Digital. I was exposed to AWS, especially creating Lambda functions for our lending microservice there. I was responsible for creating the API that allows the mobile app to send the lending information to our different microservices by calling their API or sending it to SNS for the other microservices to consume.
Union Digital ended their contract with Collabera on December 31 last year so a lot of employees from Collabera that was working at Union Digital were laid off. Still, they requested to extend mine for 3 months as I was the one who was developing the vital parts of the lending API. My last day in Collabera was on April 6.
Now I have a part-time job. I am creating a CRM dashboard for our client. The tech stack that we are using is React, Serverless framework, and MongoDB. The app is deployed in AWS using EC2 and lambda
