The Project Engineer (Mechanical) is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing mechanical engineering projects from concept through completion. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with technical specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
Responsibilities:
Plan, manage, and execute mechanical engineering projects in accordance with project scope and timelines
Coordinate with design, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams
Prepare and review mechanical drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical documents
Monitor project progress, costs, and schedules; report deviations and propose corrective actions
Liaise with clients, consultants, vendors, and contractors to resolve technical issues
Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and safety regulations (ASME, ISO, ASTM, etc.)
Review vendor submittals, material specifications, and inspection reports
Support installation, testing, commissioning, and handover of mechanical systems
Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies
Maintain proper project documentation and records
