As a logistics officer, I coordinate with suppliers abroad regarding our PO. I coordinate with brokers and truckers to ensure the prompt and safe delivery of our shipment to its final destination. And I coordinate with shipping lines and freight forwarders for the arrival of shipments in the Philippines. I’m in charge of processing documents for release to customs. I recommend schemes for effective and efficient import/export processing and release of shipments. I am responsible for freight rate negotiations with shipping lines, airlines, or freight forwarders. And also, I can perform functions that may be assigned from time to time.
