I started as a Cash Application and Reconciliation Specialist at Accenture in 2013, where my primary duty involves cash allocation and identifying payment discrepancies and billing errors, while ensuring that financial records and transactions are accurate and consistent.
With more than 3 years of cash apps and reconciliation experience from Accenture and Xerox, I subsequently became a Credit Controller for Thomson Reuters in 2017 and used to collect payments from clients in the Americas region. In this role, I used to conduct credit reviews, identify billing errors, perform account reconciliation, communicate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve client concerns, liaise with legal and third party agencies if payments cannot be negotiated and control bad debt accounts. These efforts promoted me to a senior role 2 years after.
Since then, I have stepped up my game and continued to be a valuable asset in the team by acting as a deputy to my manager during her absences and provided assistance to my teammates in terms of process updates and coaching sessions while meeting my monthly targets. For 4 consecutive years, I have been given a "leading" performance rating, one that is given to only 1 collector out of 55 highly skilled collectors globally. Through my hard work, I have gained the trust and confidence of my senior leaders and stakeholders and promoted me to a lead role in July 2023 to manage the Asia Collections team.
