• Reviews Inpatient charts and translate diagnosis and procedures to ICD 10 CM and PCS code. Handles all types of documentation (OB, Pedia, Surgical, Medical, Psychiatric and others) Minimum of 18 charts per day.
• Knowledgeable of CAC, Epic and 3M tools.
• Analyze medical records and identifies documentation deficiencies.
• Submit queries for unclear documentations.
• Making sure that codes are assigned correctly following General Coding Guidelines.
• Confirms appropriate and accuracy of diagnosis related group (DRG) assignments. Maximizes DRG weight to optimize the reimbursement, quality, and compliance.
