I am a degree holder of Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Management Accounting. I have been working in the accounting field for four and a half year. My first job was a Bookkeeper/HR Staff in a resort. Basically, my jobs were securing updated sales and expenses of the company using QuickBooks, reconciling all bank accounts, supervising accounts receivable and payables, and preparing reports for the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR). I was also given an extra position of being HR Staff where I prepare the payroll and benefits for the employees. My second job was an Accounting Associate in a well known accounting firm in the City. My job was still securing updated sales and expenses but this time not just one but numerous clients. I also prepare and submit BIR filings of my clients and assist them in any BIR related concerns. Most importantly, I do audit and prepare financial statements for the clients.
My work experiences trained me to master skills that are very much essential in the accounting field such as being detail-oriented, multitasking, time management and decision-making, which I believe are the core competencies in accounting.
