I have been working as an outsource nurse for 3 years; but I have been in the clinical field for 6 years already.
I worked as a clinical manager for 1 year and 6 months. I have been managing nurses in the past ranging from setting work schedules for the month's rotation; approving leaves and PTOs; reviewing and analyzing history calls from the nurses assigned to me; de-escalating situations transferred from the nurses if the scenario calls for assistance; conducting weekly meetings to address concerns and conflicts within the team; coordinating with the management regarding the needs of the nurses in order to boost client satisfaction; and organizing priority needs of the team. I am well-versed with certain medical systems like IMS which was the platform used in my previous job.
As an outsource nurse, I worked to answer patient queries regarding test results; scheduling appointments with their upcoming check-ups; sending prescriptions to pharmacy as requested by the patient; conducting patient education regarding the use of certain medications and how to effectively take them or apply them, managing expectation of patients on certain procedures and interpreting laboratory results and relaying them to the concerned individual.
As an emergency nurse, I manage clients in the emergency setting while doing effective assessments to ensure patient safety. I do perform client educations especially on take-home medications like insulin, antihypertensive medications; conducting follow-up calls to different institutions when doing patient referrals.
As a nurse educator, I worked in the academe, dealing with nursing students; conducting review sessions. Subject of expertise is community health nursing, emergency nursing, pharmacology, and communicable/infectious disease nursing.
