When I started my career, it really is my dream to become a supervisor. But before reaching this position I have to struggle many times and learn a lot to become a good leader. As a supervisor I oversee the whole operation and send report to the higher ups daily/weekly. As a logistics supervisor, my reports and work should be accurate since we are not only dealing with money but also with items with high value. With that being said, it's not only me should excel and have accurate work and reports but also my colleague. Because their performance is also my performance. I conduct trainings twice a month for their refresher training, new policies, KPI, strategies, and for the new onboarded employees I teach them thoroughly even for riders. After they attended the virtual training given by the company i also teach them on what they should do, because on the training provided it is not complete and some of them do not understand English. I make sure the daily inventory is 100%, if there is missing it will be reported directly to my superior. I conduct daily meetings on what we should do and what strategy we need to impose, what's our target, what are my expectation. I ask them also for suggestion for a better flow of operation. And also give them advices when needed. As a Supervisor one of my day-to-day job also is facing with customers with their queries and handling customer complaint. With this type of job you will face people with different attitude, so it is a must to know how to handle customer, face them with positive attitude and a must to have a quick decision making skill.
