I’m an E-Commerce Virtual Assistant specializing in Shopify product and store support, with hands-on experience as purchasing staff and inventory clerk.
Before moving into E-Commerce VA work, I worked as a Purchasing Staff and Inventory Clerk, where I handled product records, stock monitoring, supplier quotations, purchase orders, receiving documents, inventory audits, system updates and customer support.
The following are the Shopify skills I developed through self-directed learning and hands-on practice.
🏷️ Products
- Product listing and setup, including Titles, Descriptions, Media, Categories, Pricing, Inventory, Shipping, Variants, Category Metafields, Product Metafields, and Product Organization.
🏷️ Collections
- Organizing products using Collections, Product Types, Tags, Vendors, Categories, and Variants to keep the Shopify store structured, consistent, and easy to navigate.
🏢 Inventory
- Gained hands-on experience exporting inventory and product CSV files, transferring the necessary product information into the inventory CSV, and manually checking the data for accuracy and consistency before importing it back into Shopify.
🧾 Purchase Orders
- I have hands-on experience creating and managing Purchase Orders in Shopify, including selecting suppliers and locations, adding products, entering supplier SKUs, quantities, costs, and taxes, adding reference numbers, supplier notes, and tags, marking orders as ordered once confirmed by the supplier, creating inventory transfers, and exporting Purchase Orders as PDFs for sending to suppliers.

- In Transfers, I have experience managing inventory movements by marking items as Ready to Ship when they are prepared to leave the source location, In Transit when they have left and are being transported, and Transferred once they arrive at the destination and the transfer is completed.
👨💼 My Onsite Experience as an Employee
My previous inventory experience involved conducting monthly inventory audits, reconciling system records with physical counts, and maintaining accurate inventory data. I also helped maintain 99% inventory accuracy in my previous inventory role.
As a Purchasing Staff, I regularly requested supplier quotations, compared pricing, prepared Purchase Orders, and assisted with supplier meetings and negotiations. I managed requisition requests for 8 branches and processed Purchase Orders through an AIMS system, helping ensure products were available when needed.
💡 Why My Background Matters
My experience is not limited to simply entering information into a system.
I’ve worked with real products, suppliers, purchase orders, inventory counts, receiving documents, returns, and stock discrepancies. I understand how small errors in product information or inventory records can create bigger problems later.
That’s why I approach every Shopify task with care, paying close attention to the details and making sure everything is accurate and properly updated.
My goal is simple: to become the person you can trust to handle the details without having to constantly check what’s happening behind the scenes.
