I acquired Network Engineer or Network Control Center (NOC) engineer experience from a local telecommunications company, a local data communications company and a global Managed Service Provider (MSP). I held a NOC engineer position with Digitel Telecommunications for 2 years, a NOC engineer with Radius Telecoms, Inc. (e-Meralco Ventures Inc.) for 4 years and a NOC engineer with Verizon Communications Philippines, Inc. for 12 years.
I have practical knowledge and experience with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) of network devices, services and/or IT infrastructure. These includes local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), Software-defined
WAN (SD-WAN) and internet infrastructures.
I monitored network health, performance and availability through proactive maintenance and reactive troubleshooting. In this regard, I'm trained to exhaust all the process at my level during troubleshooting from triage to resolution.
I have hands-on experience in working with WAN devices such as layer 2 switch, router, network termination unit (NTU), modems et al. I have extensive experience in troubleshooting WAN connections from legacy leased T1 lines to SD-WAN circuits. I am comfortable working with customers, technical teams, vendors & stakeholders.
Throughout my 19 year career, I learned to appreciate the importance of effective communication, integrity, stress-management, prioritization, team collaboration, accountability and of having great customer service (soft skill) and listening skill.
I'm a rapid and agile learner who is eager to expand my knowledge in project management, cybersecurity, programming, artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML). And I believe that I become a master of my craft if I practice it regularly and share it with others by teaching.
