I am currently an Application Development Manager at a German supply chain company, where I began my career as an Application Developer. In my previous role, I specialized in designing, building, and implementing in-house information systems and software applications that solve problems, enhance user experiences, improve processes, and enable various business units to function more efficiently.
As an Application Developer, my key responsibilities included:
- Translating business requirements into functional features.
- Participating in research and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.
- Providing necessary support for existing applications.
- Conducting trial runs of programs and software to ensure accuracy and functionality according to company and customer requirements.
- Implementing locally or regionally developed applications/systems after thorough testing with users and obtaining sign-off within agreed lead times.
- Ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality software solutions.
In my current role as an Application Development Manager, I:
- Lead a team working on various projects, continuing to apply my expertise from my developer role.
- Oversee the entire software development lifecycle, ensuring adherence to development and implementation methodologies.
- Manage multiple projects to ensure timely delivery within the functional scope.
- Provide technical direction and expertise in the design, development, and implementation of software applications.
My transition from an Application Developer to a managerial role has allowed me to leverage my technical skills and leadership abilities to drive successful project outcomes and foster a collaborative, high-performance team environment.
