I completed an online bookkeeping training course to build a solid foundation in accounting and bookkeeping. As part of my training, I completed a four-week internship as a bookkeeper, where I worked hands-on with QuickBooks Online, troubleshooting client accounts. I have experience with journal entries, managing the chart of accounts, invoicing, billing, purchase orders, managing products and services, trial balances, and bank reconciliation.
Before transitioning into bookkeeping, I worked as an HR Generalist for three years, handling various aspects of HR, including payroll processing, compensation and benefits, petty cash management, and reimbursements—especially travel expenses and allowances. My role also involved administrative tasks such as employee conflict resolution, mediation, and onboarding, which strengthened my attention to detail and organizational skills—both essential in bookkeeping.
