Currently, I am working in real estate taxation as a Real Estate Tax Consultant, focusing on tax compliance, reporting, and analysis for property-related matters. My responsibilities include preparing and submitting real estate tax appeals, gathering supporting documentation, coordinating hearing requirements, and ensuring accuracy throughout the assessment review process. This role allows me to apply my accounting and auditing foundation to a specialized and evolving field that I genuinely enjoy.
I handled approximately 800+ commercial property tax appeals located in different parts of the United States for various clients just for this tax season. I was able to handle and attend appeal hearings, both formal and informal, for different accounts from different counties. I prepared appeal packet evidences supported by comparable reports, income approach, cost, approach, sale approach, and equity approach. The websites and tools I used on a day-to-day basis include, but not limited to, Marshall and Swift, CoStar, PTS, TaxNet USA, etc.
I am a detail-oriented and dependable accounting professional with a strong foundation in audit, taxation, finance, and bookkeeping. I am passionate about maintaining accuracy, ensuring compliance, and supporting organizations through well-structured financial processes.
I began my career in accounting and auditing, working on financial statements, tax compliance, and reporting for a wide range of clients. These experiences strengthened my analytical skills, attention to detail, and understanding of different industries and regulatory requirements.
I later gained experience in accounts payable, managing invoice processing, vendor payments, reconciliations, and financial systems such as SAP and Xero. This expanded my understanding of operational finance and reinforced the importance of accuracy in fast-paced environments.
My background also includes work that combined bookkeeping with administrative support, allowing me to manage documentation, prepare reports, coordinate communication, and maintain organized workflows. This enhanced my adaptability, responsiveness, and organizational skills.
