As a Supply Chain and Logistics Specialist, I play a critical role in managing the movement of goods, materials, and information within a company's supply chain for more than 10-years already. My main responsibility is to ensure that the products are efficiently procured, stored, and delivered to customers, minimizing costs while meeting or exceeding performance expectations. This role requires me to be strong in organization, problem-solving, and a deep understanding of logistics and supply chain processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Supply Chain Coordination:
1. Oversee the end-to-end supply chain process, ensuring a smooth flow of materials, products, and information.
2. Work with suppliers, manufacturers, and third-party logistics providers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
Inventory Management:
1. Monitor and control inventory levels to ensure that stock is available when needed without overstocking.
2. Implement inventory forecasting techniques to avoid stockouts and reduce excess inventory.
Transportation & Distribution Logistics:
1. Plan and coordinate the transportation of goods, optimizing routes and delivery schedules.
2. Negotiate with carriers, freight forwarders, and shipping partners to achieve cost-effective and timely deliveries.
Process Optimization:
1. Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in the supply chain and logistics processes.
2. Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
Supplier and Vendor Management:
1. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure a reliable and efficient supply chain.
2. Negotiate contracts, review performance, and address any issues that arise with suppliers.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
1. Analyze data and prepare report to track supply chain and logistics performance.
2. Analyze key metrics and generate reports to support decision-making and continuous improvement efforts.
Compliance and Risk Management:
1. Ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards, such as transportation laws, safety, and environmental regulations.
2. Identify and mitigate risks that could disrupt the supply chain, such as supply shortages, natural disasters.
