I spent the majority of my career at Bell Canada, where I worked as a Customer Service and Retention Representative, handling customer concerns and resolving issues in a fast-paced environment. My ability to de-escalate situations, retain clients, and exceed performance goals helped me build a solid foundation in customer relationship management.
During the pandemic, I transitioned to remote work and took on a new role with a Virtual Assistant company as an Appointment Setter, eventually being promoted to Sales Development Manager after only four months. In this role, I was responsible for both warm and cold calling, nurturing leads, and managing client relationships via virtual meetings through Zoom. I also had the opportunity to lead a struggling group and turn things around by providing strong leadership and guidance. Although the client ultimately closed the account, my experience in this position sharpened my skills in lead generation, sales strategies, and team management.
Most recently, I’ve been working as a Business Development Representative for a direct client in New York, focusing on Medicaid enrollees in Buffalo and guiding seniors through the process of applying for the Consumer Directed Personal Assistance Program (CDPAP). I conduct cold calls, build relationships, and work closely with state agencies to facilitate appointments and document collection. Unfortunately, due to recent healthcare changes in New York State, my current role is at risk of being downsized, which is why I am now seeking new opportunities.
