I handled QS-CSA Works, my responsibilities involved supporting construction and project management procedures on the project, I am assigned to conduct accurate quantity take offs by verifying on site conditions and using approved or final construction plans.
I also assist in quantifying and processing the materials requirements needed on site, ensuring timely procurement and delivery. Additionally, i handle contractor billings by reviewing and validating claims and i perform data entry tasks to support project cost tracking and documentation.
In my previous job, i was exposed to various task aimed at enhancing and helping us develop a broader skill set. As part of my learning, my supervisor assigned me some Quantity Surveying duties which allowed me to gain early exposure to quantity Surveying practices. The scooe of QS work was not new to me, as I had already participated in material takeoffs, cost estimation and assisting in project coordination, because of that exposure, I became familiar with QS responsibilities early on.
