ON FIRMWARE:
I have more than 15 years of embedded systems or firmware development experience (using mainly C and C++, Philippines and Singapore). I have worked with peripherals like SPI, I2C, UART, etc., working with libraries from CubeMX for STM32 MCUs and have developed hardware abstraction layers as well for other ARM-based MCUs like Atmel's AT91SAM7 series and NXP/Philips LPC MCU. I have designed my own bootloader including firmware updates via USB HID and have worked with bare metal or RTOS based firmware. For sensors, I have worked with accelerometers, pressure sensors, temperature sensors and lately have used BME280 for humidity and pressure readings. For IoT, I have worked with BLE(ST BlueNRG), WiFi(ESP8266), GPS/GSM/GPRS(SIM868) and LoRa (HVAC automation). In terms of products, I have worked with printers, custom GNSS tracking electronics used for offshore Oil and Gas explorations, vaping devices, etc.
I'm also experienced in using oscilloscope, USB based logic analyzer (Saleae Logic), DMM, interfacing with dev kits, reading schematics and have designed some basic hardware that was put into production (-----------).
I have my own mini lab with a multimeter, soldering station, USB based logic analyzer, etc.
ON SOFTWARE:
Developed desktop (VB, C#) and web apps and lately worked as a CTO of a USA based startup working mainly on backend and API (Python, Django, Django REST Framework, Postgresql) and leading a team of web, iOS and Android front end devs. Delivered and deployed web, iOS and Android apps in Production.
