I am a dedicated and service-oriented librarian currently working at the University of Cebu – Maritime Education and Training Center, where I manage and maintain academic library services tailored to the needs of maritime students and faculty. My responsibilities include collection development, cataloging, user support, and promoting information literacy in a dynamic learning environment.
My professional journey in information and records management is built upon diverse and valuable experiences. I previously served as a Law Librarian at Saint Columban College, where I handled a wide array of legal resources, assisted students and faculty in legal research, and ensured the proper classification and accessibility of legal texts and case materials. This role sharpened my skills in specialized cataloging, legal documentation, and upholding the integrity of confidential information.
In addition to my academic library background, I also held the position of Ward Clerk at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, where I performed clerical and administrative duties such as maintaining membership records, managing reports, and ensuring smooth organizational operations. This experience strengthened my attention to detail, data accuracy, and ability to work within structured and values-driven institutions.
Further enhancing my professional capabilities, I completed a training course on Republic Act 9470, also known as the National Archives of the Philippines Act of 2007. This training equipped me with comprehensive knowledge in records and archives management, including policies on records creation, appraisal, retention, disposal, and the preservation of valuable historical documents. I am now well-versed in implementing systematic and compliant records management practices in line with national standards.
With a strong foundation in library science, legal research, clerical work, and records management, I am committed to delivering efficient, reliable, and professional information services that support institutional development, academic excellence, and the preservation of knowledge.
