I began my professional career as a licensed architect in 2014.
However, prior to that, I started working as a site coordinator for a
general contractor company in 2013. I learned a lot on-site and even
in office work. I also learned how to cost and estimate with the help
of our principal architect in the office. I also tried freelancing and
took on small projects. I also returned to work as a project
consultant and owner representative. I was exposed from the
bidding process to the execution of the plans. All in all, I can say
that it is very important to experience and be exposed to the field as
an architect because it cannot be learned solely from books.
