I am a highly creative and experienced artist with a strong foundation in graphic design and digital art. My journey in design began at a young age, inspired by my late father, who was a long-time layout editor and artist for a major city newspaper. Growing up, I was constantly exposed to his work, fostering my own passion for editing and design. This natural inclination led me to inherit and develop similar talents and skills.
My practical experience solidified through our family's printing shop, where I became deeply immersed in the world of graphic production. It was here, from my first year of college onwards, that I truly honed my skills under the guidance of our business operations, gaining hands-on expertise in everything from editing 2x2 and 1x1 pictures to document printing, and extensive tarp and general layout design. This immersive environment, where I consistently encountered diverse editing demands, served as my primary training ground.
Concurrently, I extended my expertise to a reputable local printing press, where I further developed my skills over four years – two years as a full-time layout artist and another two years part-time while pursuing my studies. This fast-paced environment regularly exposed me to demanding job orders, often requiring 5-10 diverse layouts daily for various occasions, sharpening my ability to deliver under pressure while maintaining high quality.
I possess advanced proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe InDesign, allowing me to produce visually appealing and highly effective designs with precision and speed. My familiarity with InDesign stems from extensive experience, including being the layout editor for our high school paper for two years, where I even utilized Adobe PageMaker.
Beyond design, I also have a keen eye as a photographer and previously managed social media content, posting regular event updates for my school. I am also proficient in Adobe Illustrator, further expanding my design capabilities.
