I am Madel -----------, an artist based in Cavite, Philippines. I am a graduate from the University of Santo Tomas (UST) with a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts and Design, majoring in Painting. I specialize in paintings, mainly acrylics and oil, and calligraphy. I am currently experimenting with other mediums as well, like clay.
My affinity for the fine arts started when I was young, painting with poster paint and taking inspiration from animated characters, and only deepened as I matured. I was in 10th grade when I joined an arts club. My club adviser saw my skills and encouraged me to go for the arts, hence I found a passion for it and made it my career. I studied at LPU Cavite Campus in the Arts and Design Track for senior high school and then enrolled in UST for my higher education.
I am currently working freelance and am open to commissions, but occasionally, I participate in art exhibits. So far, I have participated in three art exhibits, which were "Through the Window" in 2024, and "Maynila" in 2025, both held in The Art District Gallery in Escolta, and "-----------nto Metier," a Senior Painting Exhibit held in Beato Angelico Bldg. Gallery in UST, behind the scenes in the written documentation department.
