I’m Leslie De Guzman, a BS Biology graduate from the University of the Philippines Los Baños. While my academic background is rooted in microbial ecology and environmental biology, I’ve also developed transferable skills highly valuable for remote work in social media management, data entry, and digital marketing.
Through research and internship experience at the METAS Lab in UP Diliman, I became proficient in organizing complex data, writing clear reports, and conducting online literature reviews, skills that translate well into accurate data entry and digital content creation. My thesis involved managing large datasets, performing DNA sequence analysis, and presenting scientific findings in a visually engaging and easy-to-understand format, something I now apply in social media content creation and science communication.
I also have experience in the fast-paced food service industry, where I honed my time management, multitasking, and communication skills, making me reliable in meeting deadlines and adapting to different platforms and audiences.
