I have been working in a BPO industry for 11 years already. I was a technical support representative for 4 years for a cable television company and wireless services. My 7 years is with a healthcare account.
I was assigned to the prior authorizations department focusing on obtaining authorizations for the patients durable medical equipment. My role is also responsible for gathering and submitting necessary medical documentation, communication with patients, providers, and insurance companies to ensure timely approval for the equipment. The role gave me the opportunity to try several payers’ portal (e.g. Availity, Navinet, Noridian). Through hard work and dedication, I was promoted as a Team Leader. Being a team leader gave me the opportunity to share my knowledge and techniques I have learned as an authorizations specialist to the team that helps the-----------eting their individual goals and the organization’s goal.
My role involves developing a strategy and planning necessary steps to reach our goal. I’ve practiced fair delegation of tasks that helps my teammates enhance their skills and strength. Provide clear instructions to the team, track their individual performance and team progress. I also provide additional training and coaching to help them improve their skills and product knowledge. I also maintain a positive and work environment. I also practiced hierarchy of tasks to optimize workflow efficiency, and meeting deadlines without compromising the quality.
