I've been working as a Flight Attendant for 6 years. We are trained to be safety personnels. We are equipped with knowledge of different safety and standard procedure when it comes to emergency situations and also first aid and basic medical needs. Before each flight, all the crew gather together to have a pre-flight briefing regarding the flight information and to refresh our knowledge before each flight to ensure that we meet the standards to fly for that sector. I am keen to details as this is a requirement before each flight. In any kind of emergency situation, I am quick to respond without letting my emotions go in the way to be able to perform the steps needed to alleviate and solve the problem. With that reason, I am trained to master the art of preparation in any given situation.
Furthermore, we are qualified to lead a group of people and to work in harmony with our co-workers. Each flight, we work with different set of crew and we face different challenges on board. That's why, my flexibility in dealing with problems and dealing with different personalities has immensely improved in my years of experience as a cabin crew.
On top of that, I am a Customer Service Expert as our main job focuses on delivering the highest level of hospitality to our guests. I am trained to engage with guests in a professional manner in a way that will show empathy and our utmost consideration to their needs.
As a cabin crew, we interact face-to-face with them that's why I always make sure that my grooming is presentable and I communicate with them in the most pleasant way. I am also equipped with service dialogues and techniques on how to make the guests feel comfortable when problems arise in our way. We always avoid killer words and any negativity in flight as we need to be mentally, physically and emotionally prepared to deal with our guests. I can work gracefully under pressure as this is a requirement in our job. I have faced a lot of different challenges as we are facing people from different cultures.
