I started my career in maintenance since 2023. I am responsible for assisting drivers for all their maintenance needs whether it is emergency, scheduled service or sometime for scheduled preventive maintenance.
My clients are in U.S. and Canada. At first, I don't have any knowledge within their states and locations. even, truck or trailers issues, you know I don’t know anything about vehicle, But as time goes by, I started to learn about tools and all the equipment’s used by the drivers.
I am responsible for coordinating and scheduling repairs, finding technians who are the best fit for the job. Because on this job, we have to check if the tech is certified for the kind of job we need because Techs have different specializations.
I started my job with accepting calls from the drivers, list down the detailed issue, like what type of repair they need, where is the location. I have to make sure that I got the zipcode of the address,it helps me to get the accurate location.I ask them if they want to schedule the repair or if they need an emergency repair.
There are different levels of issue, so we need to classify them. We have to analyze what type of tech or repair they need like tire vendors, someone who specialized in hydraulics, Towing service, Jumpstart, lighting issues, and more . We have to make sure we got the right one so we will not waist money for dry run fee . We really don’t want it to happen.
I am using different tools like for maps we have samsara- in this website we can check the live locations of the caller or unit,and for finding vendors and technicians, we use a lot of websites like truck down, find truck service, pirtek for hydraulics, paccar for dealership and a lot more.
I always made sure that I know the vendor rates before getting a work order .Because sometimes there are some vendor who charge us doble as the usual rate. I am also responsible for issuing Purchase Order for those vendors who are under account. I have the tool called Cetaris this is where I logged all the issues . I made sure that all issues are logged and monitored and updated on time. If the Technicians don’t have an account with us I am also responsible for payment. I am processing parments thought credits card. After that I send all the invoices to my boss.
