Passion in the morning and practicality at night!
I am an early childhood educator during the day and a highly skilled, proficient freelancer by night, mostly fueled by chocolate milk, a good music playlist, and a strong Wi-Fi connection. A combination of knowledge, dedication, and humor all in one persona.
I've been fortunate enough to work with multiple clients and companies as a tutor at RareJob Inc., an educator in a private school, and a lead generation and recruitment support specialist through an Upwork project.
As an English as a second language tutor at RareJob Inc., I focused on facilitating lively and engaging student-centered lessons that incorporated real-life situations (because, honestly, application is the hardest part). I was also providing personalized feedback after every lesson, detailing grammar corrections, proper pronunciation, and newly learned vocabulary. After conducting over 200+ lessons with Japanese students, I mastered the art of building rapport, communicating effectively, and just chatting about each other's interests.
For my lead generation and recruitment support specialist role, I worked closely with my client for over nine months. I conducted high-volume candidate sourcing using a resume database like CareerBuilder. If I'm being honest, I sometimes think I was hired solely for the fact that I type emails at lightning speed and was able to send thousands of targeted outreach emails weekly to prospective candidates across multiple U.S. states, with slightly sore fingers, of course.
Currently, I am an early childhood educator in a private school here in the Philippines. Although I graduated with a bachelor's degree in elementary education, I quickly adapted and genuinely fell in love with early childhood teaching. As a teacher, I am used to organizing files (lots of them), creating engaging materials, curating personalized lessons, and fostering a student-centered classroom that supports both holistic development and knowledge.
I am highly proficient in anything connected with computers and technology, and if I don't know something yet, Google is just one click away, and learning it fast will never be a problem. I am quick to adapt to new platforms, tools, systems, and technologies. I also have foundational experience in email management, content creation using editing software, and a variety of other administrative and creative tasks!
In short: I teach tiny humans who say "I love you" every five minutes in the morning and accomplish part-time projects at night, with no caffeine.
