I am a Licensed Mechanical Engineer and Mechanical Engineering Instructor transitioning into Junior Power BI Development, with a strong interest in finance analytics and dashboard reporting.
My strongest current portfolio project is an anonymized nonprofit financial reporting dashboard based on a real church finance workbook. I converted a report-style Excel file into a BI-ready model with a monthly finance fact table, fund dimension, date dimension, DAX measures, SQL examples, and reconciliation checks. The project demonstrates data cleaning, star schema thinking, fund-level variance analysis, surplus/deficit tracking, and clear documentation.
I am early in my Power BI and SQL career, but I learn fast and work systematically. My engineering background helps me validate numbers carefully, document assumptions, and approach dashboards as business systems, not just visuals. I also use Codex as an AI-assisted mentor and review partner to accelerate learning, improve documentation, and build faster while still understanding the work.
