I'm a Chargebacks and Disputes Specialist, and my job is simple to explain: I stop stores from losing money on disputes they could have won.
For the last year and a half I've handled chargebacks for two Shopify brands at once, a US supplement company on PayPal and a Swedish home goods store on Airwallex. That means working in both USD and SEK, and on a busy day it's 60 to 80 cases. I'm used to the volume and I don't let cases slip past their deadline.
When I take on a dispute, I file the response through PayPal Resolution Center or Airwallex Disputes, then build the evidence packet myself. I pull tracking from USPS, UPS, FedEx, 17track, yuntrack and CJ Packet, match it against PayPal records and email history, and upload everything before the processor's deadline. The claims I see most are Unauthorized Transaction, Item Not Received, ACH Return, Duplicate Payment and cancelled orders, so those are second nature to me now.
If email isn't moving a case along, I'll call the customer. Sometimes that's just showing them where their package is. Other times it's offering a refund-and-keep or negotiating a retention discount so they decide to hold onto the order instead of charging back. I'm comfortable on the phone and I know how to bring the temperature down on a frustrated customer.
Subscription disputes I treat carefully. I remove the customer at the processor first so the next charge doesn't go through, then post the manual refund after, which keeps the billing and dispute records clean.
Behind all of it I keep a master tracker with the case ID, root cause, evidence link, status and outcome for every dispute, so nothing gets lost and any case can be reopened later without me having to dig.
Day to day I'm in Zendesk, Shopify Admin, PayPal Resolution Center, Airwallex Disputes, Gmail and Google Drive. I'm available full-time and flexible on US EST hours, with a quiet home office, fiber internet plus a hotspot backup, and a dual-screen setup.
If disputes are eating your time or your revenue, hand the whole thing to me and I'll run it.
