I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the Technological Institute of the Philippines. I started using Revit in 2022 while I was still in college, and I immediately developed a strong interest in it. Since then, I began using Revit for most of my academic projects and eventually incorporated it into my entire digital design workflow.
After graduation, instead of taking the traditional path of working as an apprentice, I decided to immediately pursue a career in the Architectural industry. I joined a remote outsourcing company as a BIM Modeler, where I was assigned primarily to Interior Design projects for international consultants, particularly clients from the Middle East and Australia.
Throughout my experience, I have worked on various large-scale projects, including hotel and residential interior design projects. I also gained experience in landscaping and other BIM-related tasks. Working in a BIM environment significantly improved my Revit skills because I learned how important it is to follow project standards, modeling guidelines, documentation requirements, and quality control procedures.
My primary responsibilities have focused on Interior Design modeling and creating both parametric and non-parametric Revit families. I have also worked on model coordination, QA/QC, documentation, and other BIM-related tasks depending on the requirements of each project. Working with international consultants has also helped me become more detail-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable working within different standards and workflows.
At this stage of my career, I am looking to work independently and take on opportunities where I can apply and share the knowledge and experience I have gained throughout my years in the BIM industry. I am eager to contribute my Revit and BIM expertise to projects while continuing to learn, improve my skills, and grow professionally. I believe that my combination of architectural knowledge, hands-on BIM experience, and passion for Revit allows me to provide reliable and high-quality work to clients and project teams.
