I am an entry-level construction estimator with experience as a junior estimating engineer for structural steel. I have a foundational understanding of reading blueprints, performing digital takeoffs, and preparing cost estimates using PlanSwift and Microsoft Excel. I am currently expanding my skills in estimating, specifically learning roofing takeoffs and estimation.
My core technical focus:
• Planswift & Excel: Plan navigation, scaling drawings, performing quantity takeoffs and cost estimates.
• Structural Steel Estimating: Foundational exposure to structural drawings involving structural steel members, converting linear and area measurements into steel weight for estimation.
• Roofing Estimation: Currently learning the trade through online training platforms to expand my takeoff capabilities into residential and commercial roofing systems.
I am looking for a remote position where I can assist or work with senior estimators, absorb the company's training, and grow into a reliable asset for the company.
