I'm an executive and operations support professional in Quezon City, now in my second year as assistant to the CEO of a virtual-assistance agency whose clients are US law firms, mostly in California. I have a Civil Engineering degree behind me.What that actually involves, day to day:
Managing my CEO's incoming workload and task backlogs — triaging, prioritising, tracking each item to completion
Keeping an incident tracker current: logging issues, monitoring status, chasing what's outstanding, reporting on resolution
Building intake and reporting forms in Google Forms so requests get captured consistently
Scheduling and calendar coordination across a 12- to 16-hour time difference
I work AI-first. I use AI assistants alongside Google Workspace and Microsoft Office for research, drafting, summarising and deciding what gets done first. If you'd rather hire someone who already works this way than someone who plans to learn, that's the main thing I'd point to.
Because I work inside a legal-services business, I'm comfortable with law-firm vocabulary and with the confidentiality expectations that come with it. To be clear about scope: I support the CEO, not client matters — I'm an executive assistant, not a legal assistant.
Before this I ran a seven-person salon, handling cash, staff pay, suppliers, stock and the appointment book, so I know small-business admin from the owner's side. I've also been paid to teach English and mathematics online to students in the US.
My current schedule is output-based rather than fixed-shift, which means I can commit to live hours in your time zone — a full 9-to-5 in Sydney, London or the US — rather than only overnight.
