I have been in the BPO industry for almost 10 years. I have worked as a tech support agent, sales chat agent and most recently as a voice customer service rep and got promoted as a Subject Matter Expert. As an SME, aside from being the first line of escalation, I have been trained and regularly do quality audits, research, team management and several other admin tasks that are handed to me by my team manager.
