I run day-to-day operations for growing companies: the coordination, the systems, and the follow-through that keep things from falling through the cracks. Where the work is repetitive, I automate it rather than absorbing it.
Most of what I do is the unglamorous part of keeping a company running, and I do it at the level where I'm making the call rather than asking. The difference is that I don't just do it faster by hand. I use AI tooling to automate recurring work, and I've built internal tools in Retool and Notion when a spreadsheet stopped holding.
What I own:
▶ Operations for a lean team: the processes that repeat every month, and the tooling that runs them
▶ Financial operations: payroll, contractor payments, invoicing, and a monthly close where categorization runs through automations I maintain
▶ CRM and records systems: administration, data pipelines, and the SOPs that keep them consistent
▶ Reporting and communications cycles end to end, including English and Japanese editions produced through AI-assisted translation with native-speaker review
▶ Executive support and program coordination, though most of what I used to do by hand now runs on rails
Where manual work is eating the week, I build:
▶ Internal applications, including a PostgreSQL-backed tool with CRM sync
▶ Knowledge bases and records systems in Notion: linked databases, indexed archives
▶ AI workflows for recurring work, authored, extended, and debugged across a 20+ workflow library that cuts roughly 20 hours of manual work per week
▶ API integrations between internal tools and public-facing systems
▶ Process documentation that lets someone else run what I built I've been an independent contractor since 2018.
Currently I run operations for an investment firm across US, Japan, and Philippine entities. Before that I was an Online Business Manager for an Australian coaching business, and before that I spent four years at a VA agency, promoted from EA into managing the team.
Happy to start with a scoped project if you'd rather test the fit first.
