I am a former associate editor of a local online newspaper based on the West Coast United States. Part of my work involved copyreading and fact-checking reporters' writeups, orienting and training new writers, and acting as liaison between management and staff.
I am also a licensed high school English teacher in the Philippines, ranking 8th in the April 2008 Licensure Exam for Teachers. Additionally, I am a writing coach and semi-professional journalist, with some of my work published on ----------- and other online sites.
My experience as a part-time field reporter for online news site ----------- during college not only gave me skills in writing and journalism, but has also helped me to become a teacher of basic writing and journalism. I was recognized as an Outstanding School Paper Adviser in the Philippines Award during the National Schools Press Conference in Dumaguete City last February 2018.
I also have experience writing for company blogs and websites, as well as curating online content on various social media platforms, such as CMS, WordPress, Medium, and -----------, among others.
I'm highly motivated and can work with minimal instruction once I understand the task at hand.
A caveat, however, is that I am a PWD with a chronic illness who suffers from pain and mobility issues that affect my ability to work on certain occasions. On the other hand, I'm able to deal with it most of the time and will do my best not to let it affect the quality of my work.
I'm looking forward to helping you help others. In the meantime, God bless you!
