I have honed my skills and expertise over the years, specializing in providing exceptional client service and efficient business operations support. My career journey began as a customer service representative for a leading American telecommunications company, where I provided technical assistance for IP services and troubleshooted networking devices and applications such as web and email clients. After that, I moved to a financial institution where I spent 11 years. I was a part of retail banking operations for an international bank. As a process executive, I handled various inquiries from consumers regarding bank products such as current accounts, savings accounts, credit cards, loans, and mortgages. My role also involves conducting needs analysis to ensure that our products were tailored to fit our customers' individual situations, ultimately leading to sales. Additionally, I mitigated regulatory risks by addressing customer complaints promptly and finding appropriate solutions such as providing compensation and formal apologies for any mistakes made by the bank.
Eventually, I transitioned into markets and securities operations, specifically focusing on trade position management and settlements. In my role as an assistant operations manager, I oversaw brokerage services for cash equities in different regions across the world. This includes managing balance sheets for Europe, Africa, Americas, and Asia-Pacific regions, with a keen focus on minimizing trade settlement risk and ensuring smooth and timely settlements of positions. I worked closely with clients, brokers, custodian banks, custody services, trading desks, and middle offices to ensure effective management of long and short positions and making sound business decisions that benefit all stakeholders. We continuously streamlined our operating model to reduce costs without compromising the quality of service.
In addition to my professional experiences, I have also turned my hobbies into a profitable venture. Alongside a partner, we started a food delivery service (Food Nostalgia Food Hub) featuring home-cooked meals made from scratch. We registered our business and created marketing materials such as brochures, advertisements, logos for merchandise packaging, and videos using design tools like Canva for print materials and Adobe Premier Pro, Splice, and Filmic for video shooting, editing, and yadding effects and captions.
